Ultra Montreal 500 Challenge
500 miles in 5 days from Montreal to Brewster, NY starting on September 8th, 2024.
Join us in supporting the cyclists who will endure the challenge of riding 100 miles each day for five consecutive days to raise awareness about Mowat-Wilson Syndrome.
UPDATE: While practicing for the challenge, Rodrigo – the organizer of the challenge and father of Bella, suffered a significant injury at home, resulting in a complete rupture of his quadriceps tendon. He has since undergone surgery and is on a long road to recovery. The challenge has been postponed to September 2025.
THE ROUTE
The journey begins with a 106.6-mile loop around Montreal on the first day. From there, we’ll embark on a challenging ride down to home. The second day takes us from Montreal to Burlington, VT, while the third day presents a significant challenge with over 500 feet of elevation gain on a 106-mile route. Days four and five will see us riding along the beautiful Empire State Trail, with stops in Hudson, NY, and finishing in Brewster, NY.
TEAM BELLA
“We are thrilled to have nine riders already signed up for the ride, with others joining for parts of the journey. We welcome additional riders to join us for the entire ride or just a day or part of a day”, said Rodrigo Meireles, father of Bella. This is a self-supported ride, and most importantly, it aims to bring awareness to Mowat-Wilson Syndrome and raise funds for the Mowat-Wilson Syndrome Foundation.
